Most families in Haiti cannot afford to send their children to school. Because the Olive Foundation School is funded by donations to Friends of LaVic the School is able to provide an education free of charge. The School is staffed by six teachers and a Principal.
The cost to provide each student with a uniform, a hot lunch in addition to their education is $30 a month. To underwrite one student’s education monthly click on the donate button below and choose "School" from the drop down designatio
Countless children roam the streets with little to no guidance. Their laughter and joy hide their empty stomachs as many of these families have little to no consistent food.
Our team member, Troy Stocker, has started raising the support he will need to be a full time worker with these children. He will seek to disciple children in the community with the goal of providing nutrition through weekly Bible programs and training for locals to expand the gospel to the least of these.

The country of Haiti is located approximately 750 miles southeast of Florida. The town of LaVictoire, Haiti is located in the Nord "Department" of Haiti. Haiti shares the island of Hispaniola with the country of the Dominican Republic.
There are many large Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO's) operating in Haiti, with the majority located in and around the Capitol city of Port-Au-Prince (PAP). Travel to LaVictoire from PAP is both time consuming and difficult. Consequently, many needed services are not available to the rural, mountainous towns like LaVictoire. Providing help to this under-served location is the focus of Friends of LaVic.
As a small organization we know we are not able to meet every need of those living in the area, but we know we can do something to make a difference! We are working to counteract the illiteracy and malnutrition that are the result of generational poverty in Haiti by making an education available to those who would otherwise not be able to afford to attend school. Donations to FOL are used to provide employment for 16 local individuals who work at either the Olive Foundation School or Orphanage. In addition, your help makes it possible to provide a daily hot meal for the 215 students at the school and the school staff.
By providing the opportunity for an education and nutrition we have also begun the long-term vision of FOL, which is to work with the residents of the community to develop sustainable sources of food and income.
Friends of LaVic is a nonprofit tax-exempt 501(c)3 public charity

In September of 2017 Jim and Bonnie returned from a trip to LaVictoire with a desire to bring attention to the unmet needs of the ministry of the Olive Foundation Orphanage and School. To accomplish that goal they formed this fundraising arm of the ministry known as
"Friends of LaVic".
We believe God blesses us, not so that we can have more, but so that we can give more.
"For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope."
Aculas and his wife Elianie have two beautiful sons and a growing ministry which includes two churches besides
the Olive Foundation Orphanage and School.
God has given him great compassion for the people of LaVictoire and surrounding area. He has vision and faith to carry out the gospel and see Christ's Kingdom expand through preaching and serving these people.
"But I am like an olive tree thriving in the house of God. I will always trust in God’s unfailing love."
Troy joined the team in 2017. He has a passion and calling to disciple and serve the children of Haiti.
We are pleased to announce Troy will be moving to La Victoire to be a full time children's pastor sometime in 2019. He will work under and alongside Aculas as a team to expand Christ's Kingdom. Troy will be ministering to local children through Bible programs, food programs and serving families in the community. He will also be active in discipleship of the Olive Foundation Orphanage children.
TROY NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT TO HELP HIM FULFILL THIS CALL.
HE CURRENTLY NEEDS TO RAISE $2,000 A MONTH TO BE IN LAVIC FULL-TIME
I will summon the grain and make it abundant and lay no famine upon you. I will make the fruit of the tree and the increase of the field abundant, that you may never again suffer the disgrace of famine among the nations.
