As a small organization we know we are not able to meet every need of those living in the area, but we know we can do something to make a difference! We are working to counteract the illiteracy and malnutrition that are the result of generational poverty in Haiti by making an education available to those who would otherwise not be able to afford to attend school.
Donations to FOL are used to provide employment for 16 local individuals who work at either the Olive Foundation School or Orphanage. In addition, your help makes it possible to provide a daily hot meal for the 300+ students at the school and the school staff.

Children are precious promises for our future. Children without homes will not likely survive for very long in Haiti without a safe place to live.
The children of this area often die from malnourishment and starvation. We provide every student with one solid meal a day helping the families who send their children.
There are 18 precious children living at the Orphanage. With the support of the donors of Friends of LaVic they receive, food, clothing, education, medical attention and are being discipled to follow Jesus. There is a faithful 4 member staff on site caring for the children, supported by your donations as well.

Aculas and Elianie were both born in the town of LaVictoire, Haiti. After they were married, they remained in the town and Pastor Aculas planted a church in the area.
Their family grew to include two sons, Woodley and Aslan.
Their ministry has also grown to include two churches and the Olive Foundation Orphanage and School.
God has given them great compassion, vision and faith to share the gospel and see Christ's Kingdom expand through the preaching of God's Word and serving the people of LaVictoire and the surrounding area.
But I am like an olive tree thriving in the house of God. I will always trust in God’s unfailing love.

There are many large Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO's) operating in Haiti, with the majority located in and around the Capitol city of Port-Au-Prince (PAP). Travel to LaVictoire from PAP is both time consuming and difficult. Consequently, many needed services are not available to the rural, mountainous towns like LaVictoire. Providing help to this under-served location is the focus of Friends of LaVic.
As a small organization we know we are not able to meet every need of those living in the area, but we know we can do something to make a difference! We are working to counteract the illiteracy and malnutrition that are the result of generational poverty in Haiti by making an education available to those who would otherwise not be able to afford to attend school.

By providing the opportunity for an education and nutrition we have also begun the long-term vision of FOL, which is to work with the residents of the community to develop sustainable sources of food and income.

In September of 2017 Jim and Bonnie returned from a trip to LaVictoire with a desire to bring attention to the unmet needs of the Olive Foundation Orphanage and School. To accomplish that goal they formed this fundraising arm of the ministry known as "Friends of LaVic".
We believe God blesses us, not so that we can have more, but so that we can give more.
"For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope."
